"all the love & sacrifices made...
i will never forget."
the immediate :.
Home in the evenings and weekends is where you find my parents, probably watching Chinese soap operas or Must See TV (on the one channel we get) and relaxing after long days at work. Both are lucrative software engineers who embody the American Dream, having worked and sacrificed insane amounts of time to succeed and raise me, their only child. My mother is unique and strong-willed, always doing something. She received her MBA degree in 1999 and is thinking about another one. My father is laid back, always there to talk about things like computers and basketball. I am grateful to have them.
the extended :.
There isn't such a thing as having too many people in your family, although mine comes close. My family is Chinese, but my parents grew up in Rangoon, Burma. My mother had eight siblings and my father six. In simple terms, most of my relatives are concentrated either in Northern Virginia or California, but in actuality I have some sort of relative at practically any point on the globe.
